Staurolite
Staurolite provides for relief from stress and depression . . .

This mineral is a talisman of good luck. It is also called the ‘fairy stone’ or ‘fairy cross’ and was said, historically, to be the crystallized tears of fairies, formed when the fairies were brought the news of the death of Christ. It can be used to provide a connection to information from the ancients of the Middle East. Staurolite crystals were worn by Pocahontas - it is said that Pocahontas presented Captain John Smith with one of these crystals to protect him from harm.

This mineral can also be used to provide a connection between the physical, astral and extra-terrestrial planes, assisting in alignment, balancing and communication between the three. It can provide for an overpowering relief in situations of stress and can eliminate depression, addictive personality traits and tendencies toward over-extensions of ones time.

It is a good stone to both ameliorate the conditions which are detrimental due to smoking, and to provide incentive, initiative and support to those who would dispense with the habit. It provides the grounding energy similar to that which the tobacco provides to those who would otherwise ‘fly away.’

Staurolite can also be used in the treatment of disorders of the cellular structure, to provide increased assimilation and conversion of carbohydrates, and to alleviate the symptoms and causes of growths. It has been used in the treatment of fevers, malaria, and depression.
